Our teachers monitor the progress of each and every child in their respective class on an on-going basis. The students are also given tests periodically to assess their learning ability and their progress report is reviewed with the parents. The students are awarded grades based on their overall performance in the tests. The areas for improvement for every child are recorded and special attention is given by teacher to help the child improve in those areas, thereby ensuring that the child is making continuous progress in every aspect of learning. We believe in setting educational standards and then encouraging learners to exceed them.
Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing are the four major skills needed to master any language. As a part of Internal Assessment the following tests are conducted:
A short audio clipping will be played twice in the class. Students are expected to listen attentively to the clipping. It could be a story, a conversation, news reading etc. After that, they will be given a test paper to answer questions based on the audio heard. The questions will be multiple choice questions, fill in the blanks Yes or Noquestions etc.
Students will be given a topic in advance. They have to prepare a speech based on the topic. They will be assessed on the basis of the content, presentation, pronunciation, fluency in speech etc
Students will be asked to read a passage from the textbook or a simple unseen passage. They will be assessed on the basis of their pronunciation, fluency, intonation etc.
Class Tests are small fragmented Tests that are taken throughout the term.
